Jess is a Licensed Social Worker who works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating challenges and relationship dynamics. She creates a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel safe to be understood and honest.
Education & Background
Jess earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Valparaiso University and her Master of Social Work from Walden University in 2025. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois. Jess has experience working in community-based mental health care and in child and young adult group homes, giving her a well-rounded understanding of emotional, behavioral, and social issues that arise at home, in school, and in the community.

Jess has experience with Elementary and middle-school-aged children, Adolescents and Teens, Young Adults and College-Aged Clients. When working with younger children, Jess ensures she works closely with parents and caregivers, focusing on developmentally appropriate strategies to support growth both in and out of therapy.

Jess utilizes evidence-based and developmentally appropriate techniques, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Flexible Thinking and perspective-taking, Conflict Resolution, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Jess believes that therapy moves at a pace that feels manageable and respectful for each client. Jess focuses on building trust first to ensure clients feel comfortable in their vulnerable time. Her approach is collaborative, affirming, and developmentally appropriate, ensuring that both clients and their families feel supported.
