WHO WILL I WORK WITH?

Stella Malagon
Estela (Stella) is a 3rd year graduate student at DePaul University completing her final year of her masters program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, set to graduate in June 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Child Advocacy Studies at Northeastern Illinois University in 2019.
Throughout her undergraduate years, Estela worked alongside at risk youth who were undergoing traumatic events due to physical and sexual abuse, as an intern and later on as a bilingual (English and Spanish) case manager. Shortly after her undergraduate graduation, she decided that she wanted to provide high quality mental health services to similar children in need, which led her to enroll in her current masters program. Estela is being trained in various therapy theories for children and adults, but is currently specializing in children in any service that they may need.
Not only does Estela believe that all children must be treated with such delicacy, but she also believes that all clients, all ages, deserve to have a safe and unique space reserved specifically for them in order to properly heal. Every client deserves the right to be heard and understood with no judgment, and have a special and strong therapeutic relationship/connection to their therapist. Estela wants her future clients to know that the space she provides them will always be their safe space, and their space only, while ensuring that her clients continue living confident, happy, and healthy lives.
