Rebecca Stamelos

Qualifications:


Rebecca Stamelos is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Art Therapist who brings warmth, creativity, and clinical expertise to her work with children, adolescents, and young adults. With a passion for helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate life transitions, Rebecca blends evidence-based therapy with expressive arts and narrative work to support each client’s growth. Rebecca earned her Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Adler with a focus on deepening her understanding of human behavior and healing. Her clinical experience includes working in intensive treatment settings such as Yellowbrick Program in Evanston, where she supported emerging adults, as well as a Chicago neighborhood school program focused on elementary-aged girls. Rebecca also played a key role in launching an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at a hospital in North Chicago and has experience working with both inpatient and outpatient youth. Rebecca is fluent in Spanish and has experience providing therapy to Spanish-speaking clients and families.

Rebecca is Greek-American and deeply values family, creativity, and connection. She’s a passionate musician who enjoys singing, playing guitar, and attending live music events. She practices Tai Chi, spends time outdoors with her pets, and continues to deepen her studies as a doctoral candidate.
